Dear IKEA,
You are making Goal 37 both much, much easier and much, much harder. Please cut down on all your cute, inexpensive products. Or don't... that's ok, too.
-Me.
Today John and I ventured out to IKEA in Woodbridge. Due to the fact that they were having a sale involving lunch, we ate lunch. If you spent more than $100 in the store, you got the cost of your lunch off your total bill. Awesome. So John had a chicken caesar salad and I had Swedish meatballs and mashed potatoes... $10! Yum. We then went to get curtains.
While spending $100 is really stretching our budget right now, we know that the temperature will be dropping soon, and we have really drafty windows. I mean -really- drafty windows. The number one complaint on apartment ratings about our complex is the windows and what it does to your power bill. After having a $207 bill for an 817 square foot apartment we knew we had to do something, and the $100 will be coming back to us this winter.
Anyway, back to curtains. We bought 4 sets of these curtains, and 4 curtain rods. We might add some shears to give some pizzaz to the big windows, but I'm really happy about it. And rounding out the $100...
So cute! 2 of them, $3.99 each. We think we might hang them on our balcony. So in the end, 4 sets of curtains, 4 rods, and 2 lanterns for $93.
However, I saw a ton of cute things I wanted in the catalog... 3 prong hooks for clothes, rugs, bookshelves, and an awesome recycling system. So I foresee another drive to Woodbridge in our future.
